Fall protection
6 hours on - Onsite - Training for employees
Work at height is defined by law as any job where a person can fall from a height of 10 feet and be injured. Examples include falling from a stepladder, a roof or an unprotected hole in the ground or floor. Falls are a common cause of serious work-related accidents, and knowledge of how to use fall protection systems plays an important role in preventing fall-related injuries to workers. Occupational health and safety legislation generally requires action to be taken when a worker can fall from a height of three meters (10 feet). The program will teach you about the CNESST's zero tolerance program, applicable laws and legislation, and personal and collective protective equipment (PPE). You'll learn about proper anchoring and fastening techniques, how to properly adjust a harness, and safety on ladders, stepladders and scaffolding.
