During this training, employees will learn how to properly evaluate a load to lift it and move it safely. They will study how to calculate angles and the different attaching techniques according to their number.
Learning objectives
- To know applicable regulation(s)
- To differentiate between the different living equipment
- To inspect the lifting equipment and accessories before their use and to follow a preventative maintenance program
- To use safe working methods for lifting, moving and placing loads

Legal obligation
Under the Regulation respecting occupational health and safety, “an overhead crane must be used only by an operator who has received theoretical and practical training from an instructor” (art. 254.1).
