With the creation of a network of experts, Lussier has become an essential partner in a rapidly growing sector.
The global context of recent years has highlighted significant defense challenges worldwide. Since Canada and Quebec are no exception, Lussier has just established a network of experts* dedicated to aerospace and defense companies and organizations. This network is supported by 200 damage insurance and surety brokers, 80 occupational health and safety specialists and 20 actuaries.
Lussier is already a risk management partner for numerous industries, supporting companies in effective management of their operations, reducing the total cost of risk, and fostering their local and international growth. Its integrated model includes damage insurance, occupational health and safety, surety bonds, actuarial services, total compensation and benefits.
A Pivotal Moment and New Opportunities
The Circle of Expertise initiative comes at a pivotal moment for the aerospace and defense industries. Canada has recently embarked on a major shift in this regard. The 2025 federal budget includes $81.8 billion in defense investments over the next five years. As for military spending, it is expected to accelerate in the coming decade, with Canada aiming to allocate up to 5% of its GDP to defense by 2035, in line with new NATO commitments.
At the same time, Ottawa has committed $357.7 million to integrate local businesses into defense supply chains and strengthen their industrial capabilities. This pivotal period is therefore creating a host of new opportunities for the Canadian aerospace and defense industry.
A Key Partner in the Ecosystem
As part of the vast aerospace and defense ecosystem, Lussier maintains close ties with the companies involved. In addition to our frequent participation in events, our representatives are members of several major associations, including Aéro Montréal, Sous-traitance industrielle Québec (STIQ), and Naval Québec. Consequently, our team stands out thanks to its understanding of the risk management needs of the Canadian defense and security industry.
This in-depth knowledge is reflected in the many areas in which Lussier now serves the aerospace and defense industries across Canada: property and casualty insurance, occupational health and safety, cybersecurity, surety bonds, and credit insurance.
